MP John Brassard is hosting a Passport Clinic at the Barrie Public Library Painswick Branch – 48 Dean Ave, Barrie – on Saturday, January 20 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. No appointment necessary.
You must be a Canadian citizen and a resident of Barrie-Innisfil.
What to bring:
- Completed passport application(s)
- Proof of Canadian citizenship
- This can be a birth certificate or citizenship certificate.
- 2 identical passport photos
- On the back of one of the photos, the photographer must write
- their name
- their complete address
- the date the photos were taken
- A guarantor must also sign the back of this photo.

- All required supporting documents. If you’re applying for a new passport rather than renewing one, you must submit at least 1 valid document to support your identity. You can use any of the following types of ID alone or in combination to meet the requirements:

- health card issued by a province or territory, or the equivalent abroad
- certificate of Indian Status
- military ID
- foreign passport
- non-driver’s licence issued by a province or territory, or the equivalent abroad
- ID card issued by the federal government, provincial or territorial government, or the equivalent abroad
- employee identification issued by the federal government, provincial or territorial government, or the equivalent abroad
* You cannot use your social insurance number (SIN) card as ID.
* Please expect to wait about 20 days for your passport to arrive.
